About The Opportunity The Construction Manager functions as one of the coaches on the Camp opening team to aid Camp Bow Wow franchisees in planning, coordinating, budgeting and managing the construction side of the Camp opening process. The primary accountability of this position is to provide consultative communication and assistance to franchisees in getting open on time, on budget and assuring that all Camp Bow Wow standards and specifications are met. The Construction Manager coaches the franchisee through visits to your site or proposed site, phone calls, emails, webinars, and training sessions. The position requires approximately 20% travel throughout North America. How You Will Make a Difference Overall management of assigned Camp Bow Wow Construction Projects. Ensure Camps are built to the standards of Camp Bow Wow. Initial discussions with new franchisees to review build out process. Responsible for Franchise owner relations during the construction process. Accountable for the bid, schedule and costs of Camps. Accountable for the sourcing and costs of all equipment and construction. Create preliminary design drawings in cad/pdf format Create expansion design drawings in cad/pdf format Manage national architect program, General Contractors and the Camp equipment packages. Travel to Camps as necessary to control the job's schedule, costs and provide consulting. Support Camp Opening team with zoning issues that relate to construction. Provide pre-bid estimates to Camp Opening team and franchisee Support Camp Opening team on phone calls with developers, landlords, etc. when related to specific construction questions. Provide Ops team the green light to schedule Camp Opening Training. Save contractor bids, final approved designs, etc. to network drive and document all conversations with Franchisees in required CRM. Review final bank loan to ensure proper amount of working capital before franchisee is allowed to close the loan. Support Camp Improvement Plans & Expansion Efforts. This could include travel to measure and estimate projects, and working with Franchisee to create a feasible timeline. Create, implement and track mandatory Camp updates. Track and update all changes to the Trail Guide to Design and communicate with OPS Team. Analyze designs to determine financial feasibility, operational compliance, and updates Identify trends and collaborate with Business Development Team and peers on resolution and/or best practices for the system A Strong Candidate Will Have The Construction Manager must be extremely organized, analytical, proactive, a team player, detailed problem solver, and possess excellent communication skills. Additionally, the Construction Manager must have strong influencing skills, proven negotiation skills, ability to overcome objections, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent business, construction, zoning and financial acumen are a must. o Four-year College degree or equivalent experience required. o Five or more years of relevant Construction Management experience. o Time Management and project management skills are critical:
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills o Ability to build trust with different personalities o Exceptional problem solving skills o Exhibit a high level of initiative to work on simultaneous projects with great detail o Professional judgment to appropriately escalate concerns to supervisor and leadership team o Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook o Technical expertise in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CAD/design software and internet skills o Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software Preferred We believe that everyone is capable of great things.
