Our Westminster client is looking for a web User Interface Architect to help define and create the next generation of a leading global telematics system. User workflows and wireframes are now being defined and discussed, in parallel with work on a company wide high level framework, which includes styles and reusable controls.
The role includes collaborating with the cross -company team that is working on a high level framework, including styles, and controls, to ensure our project's needs are well understood and considered, will collaborate with the teams defining the user workflows and wireframes, and to architect the next generation web user interface for their product accordingly.
Required skills and experience includes: HTML5, CSS and JavaScript, along with significant exposure to frameworks, tools, styles, patterns and technologies such as consumption of REST/JSON services, AngularJS, JQuery, RequireJS, Twitter Bootstrap, D3.js, Grunt, Sass & Compass, and Restangular.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties
Architect the next generation web user interface for our product.
Collaborate with the cross company team that is working on a high level framework, including styles, and controls, to ensure our project's needs are well understood and considered.
Collaborate with the teams defining the user workflows and wireframes for the next generation of our product.
Lead the way with hands on development.
Collate reference, tutorial and architecture information to help other web developers transition into this project.
Help bring developers up to speed as they are added to this project.
Periodic travel will be required between our development centers located in the US, India and New Zealand.
Education & Experience
A degree or higher education qualification related to software engineering and/or web UI/software development.
Preferably over ten years experience in this area.
Experience with HTML5, CSS and JavaScript.
Experience with a good subset of:
Consumption of REST/JSON services
AngularJS
JQuery
RequireJS
Twitter Bootstrap
D3.js
Grunt
Sass & Compass
Restangular
A demonstrable history of success with web application development projects.
Characteristics & Skills
Quick learner.
Big picture thinker, yet prepared to be hands on, particularly during the early stages to lead the way.
Strong team player with great interpersonal skills.
Strong with web development technologies.
Interested and curious in learning new technologies.
Able to lead and teach others.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
