Summary:
Lead a software development team of 10-13 employees consisting of developers, testers and DBAs. The Team Lead will oversee the design and develop software solutions to meet functional requirements of current and future product offerings using the agile development process. The team will also coordinate with Product Marketing managers, other scrum teams as well as the architecture team to deliver functionality according to prescribed architecture & design patterns and following accepted software development practices based on Agile.
Software Engineer Team Lead Key
Responsibilities:
Work with Product Marketing managers to understand and manage team priorities
Ensuring iterations (sprints) and releases are completed on time and to quality standards
Ensure architectural designs are followed as specified by architecture team
Ensure coding standards and patterns are followed
Ensure pair programming and peer reviews are conducted on all code prior to testing
Work through team to troubleshoot development environment, production environment, and performance problems.
Conduct daily stand ups (scrums)
Participate in cross-team processes and activities including Scrum of Scrums, Poker Planning, Iteration Planning, and Release Planning activities
Mentor team members and development plans for individuals on your team
Recommend process/procedure improvements to Engineering Manager
Software Engineer Team Lead Skills & Experience Required:
Experience leading teams, Software Development Fundamentals including Agile, Software Development Lifecycle Process, Requirements Analysis, Software Design, Documentation, Testing, General Programming Skills, and Problem Solving skills
Bachelor (Masters preferred) Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 10 years professional experience with five years hands-on and three years in a Team Lead role.
Minimum of five years developing software in a commercial software development environment.
Minimum of three years leading a software development team of four or more people.
Proven ability to design and develop large scale, complex applications.
Minimum of one year experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment.
Experience with C#, .NET, .Net Entity Framework model and Relational databases like SQL Server.
Experience with Service-Oriented Architectures, Web Services including those based on WCF.
Experience with Test-Driven Development and Agile processes.
Excellent English written/spoken communication and interpersonal skills.
A true team player who is able to work with distributed teams in a fast paced environment
Other Requirements:
Effectively lead a team environment
Ability to appropriately communicate with audiences at varying technical backgrounds
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Past experience designing or developing in high-transaction volume applications
Experience with GIS and Geospatial applications.
Experience working with a geographically distributed, dynamic and multicultural team

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
