Scottrade, Inc. has a Business Systems Analyst position available in Westminster, CO. The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the support of all business and technical areas by means of research, analysis, testing and documentation of small to medium size and complexity, systems and/or procedures. Serve as liaison between business and technical teams, providing ongoing research and analysis in support of the day-to-day business operations. Utilize financial services and system domain knowledge to analyze data, applications, processes and systems. This includes facilitating requirements elicitation to identify, assess, and document requirements for business and technical solutions by conducting research to determine if solutions currently exist within or outside the organization, and advising the business on options, and risks associated with the recommended solutions. The associate will analyze the dependencies and impact of proposed solutions across the company, identify gaps, duplication and impact to other systems and processes, and develop models and documentation to translate/demonstrate the requirements to the all stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
Act as a translator between technology and business: assist in providing a comprehensive view of the system, its functionality and integral parts enabling greater collaboration amongst all stakeholders from both a business and technical perspective. Elicit business, functional, non-functional, and technical requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, and task and workflow analysis. Provide technical, system and/or data analysis through the preparation of detailed flow charts, diagrams and models outlining system capabilities and processes. Full lifecycle requirements management through continuous validation of requirements. As required, act as liaison to third party partners in support of research, systems and business process analysis
Provide support to the technical teams through validation of business logic; provide analysis models and system interface analysis to assist with the technical specification development. Participate in technical specification review to ensure that the application and database design meet the approved requirements and achieve business and technical inter-operability. Validation through traceability that the product meets the approved requirements and ensures system cohesiveness and compatibility within a product/project.
Develop UAT Plan and Test Cases for projects, or Test Cases for non-project changes. Schedule and facilitate User Acceptance Testing before production deployment to secure stakeholder approval of functionality. Support Quality Assurance efforts through review of QA Test plans, Test case summary and assisting with QA defect resolution.
Define and plan for analysis activities in support of project scheduling. Monitor analysis milestones and critical dates to identify any potential jeopardy of schedule.
Support the project initiation process by providing high level current and future state analysis, stakeholder and systems integration assessment documenting options and making solution recommendations; ensuring clearly defined / documented scope.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient in elicitation and documentation of requirements, data and systems analysis, possessing a strong understanding of business processes, data, applications and systems interfaces; and how they interrelate.
Knowledge and experience with end to end systems development life cycle methodologies. Experience in writing business, data and system software requirements, taking responsibility for the creation of all analysis, traceability and validation documentation required throughout the life cycle.
Excellent team building skills in working with all levels of staff and management in leading projects, developing and communicating standards and procedures and directing problem resolution.
Excellent interpersonal and writing skills.
Skilled facilitator, able to gain cross-departmental consensus; understanding, translating and communicating business, system and data requirements.
Ability to use analytical and problem solving skills in order to be able to work with problems using technical knowledge to determine resolution strategies aligned to business needs. Evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and decompose high-level information into details.
Able to work independently, or as a team member.
Ability to work on several small to medium projects at once, manage details, plan and execute effective follow through and meet deadlines;
Understanding of financial services industry utilities/interfaces as they apply to the firm. Ability to learn and maintain an understanding of Scottrade business practices and the technology that supports them. Continually update skills in technology, brokerage / banking industry, and business analysis through training and project work.
Intermediate level proficiency with Visio, technical writing and testing tools.
Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience using Microsoft Project or other planning tools.
Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree required in MIS, Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3-5 years experience in system analysis, project discovery and investigation required. Experience analyzing business processes and creating flow, models and diagrams in support of software development and process improvement efforts.
3-5 years of Financial Services Industry experience strongly preferred.
Experience with legacy systems, software package or new application development required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
