PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT POSITION Overview:
Hand Surgery Associates, a division of Orthopedic Centers of Colorado is seeking a full-time Board Certified Physician Assistant to join our team.
We are a Multi-physician private practice for Hand and Upper Extremity located in Englewood, CO.
Responsible for assisting physicians with surgical procedures, patient care, post-surgical care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks.
Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services.
Conveys a positive image of clinic.
PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT
Essential Functions:
Provide same-day urgent care for injuries related to the hand and upper extremity.
Clinical and first assistant surgical duties in an office and ASC setting.
Assist Physicians with various surgical procedures.
Perform rounds on patients that are post-surgical or have been admitted to the hospital for consultation.
Give instructions to patients as directed by the Physician.
Take phone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls.
Refill medication requests from patients and pharmacies.
Triage and process messages and emails from patients and front office staff to Physicians Order and review incoming reports on any necessary tests including MRI's, CT's, EMG's and Injections.
Ascertain that all consent forms are gone over with the patients at their pre-op appointment, questions are answered, and the forms are filled out and signed.
Fulfills organizational responsibilities as assigned which may include respecting/promoting patient rights; sharing problems relating to patients and/or staff with physician quickly.
All other duties as assigned by Physician, clinical coordinator or practice administrator.

Colorado State License Experience level - at least 1 year in Upper Extremity Orthopedics.
(no new graduates) PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Bachelor's Degree Strong communication skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment The ideal candidate is energetic with an exceptional ability to multi-task and provide comprehensive peri-operative patient care.
